“Nonagenarians in the NORC” Listening Party
Monday, December 9th, 1:00-2:00pm
Co-Op Village NORC of the Educational Alliance
465 Grand Street, 4th Floor

Join us for a special “Nonagenarians in the NORC” Listening Party! Educational Alliance’s Co-op Village Naturally Occurring Retirement Community (NORC) is a social service program for seniors residing in the co-ops located along Grand Street. This fall the Five Boro Story Project’s Bridget Bartolini conducted oral history interviews with elders in their 90’s living in these historic Lower East Side co-ops. At the Listening Party we’ll play excerpts from the interviews and meet the nonagenarians.

Directions:
Educational Alliance’s Co-Op Village NORC (Naturally Occurring Retirement Community) is located at 465 Grand Street on the 4th Floor.
It is just under a 10-minute walk from the F train at East Broadway, and the F/M/J/Z at Delancey Street, and is near the M14 bus stop at Grand St/Pitt St.

NORC Information:
Educational Alliance’s Co-op Village NORC assists senior residents in successfully “aging in place” by providing opportunities to engage in the community and by offering vital support services. It provides adults 60 years and older living in the co-ops along Grand Street and East Broadway with a wide range of social, fitness, educational, recreational, arts and cultural programs to choose from. The activity schedule promotes healthy aging for all participants.
