Old Skool Street Games Festival
Sunday, May 18th, 12:00-4:00pm
Sol Lain Playground, 271 Henry Street
Street games are coming back to the Lower East Side!
Mark your calendars for a fun-filled day where neighbors become friends, and grandpas show the kids how it’s done. We’ve partnered with Stoop Stories and Henry Street Settlement to bring back classic NYC street games. Come play stoop ball, box ball, skelly, double dutch, hopscotch, jacks, and much more!
We’ll have arts & crafts, prizes, music, and a story station where you can share your memories of playing street games.
All ages welcome. Bring your kids, your grandparents, and your inner child!
Please RSVP at tinyurl.com/StreetGamesFest
FREE EVENT
Don’t know how to play some games? Teachers will be on hand to show you the ropes! This spring we held street games workshops with youth and elders, and workshop participants are ready to show you games from their childhoods (whether that was 10 years or 50 years ago!)
