Intergenerational Storytelling Workshops
Heights and Hills Park Slope Center for Successful Aging
463A 7th Street (near 7th Ave), Brooklyn

Thursday, July 17th, 1:00-3:00pm – Intergenerational Story Circle
Thursday, July 24th, 1:00-3:00pm – Intergenerational Interviewing

Join us for two workshops that bring together older adults and youth together to share and preserve life stories. We’re returning to Park Slope Center for Successful Aging with Stoop Stories for a storytelling program designed to promote listening across generations in Central Brooklyn.

The primary audience is youth (16-26) and older adults (60+) but all are welcome.

FREE EVENTS! Refreshments will be served.

Please RSVP with Stoop Stories here.

Workshop participants may have a mini documentary made about them! These workshops will inspire Stoop Stories’ next “Stoop Chat” film – the fourth installment of an award-winning series bridging generations, preserving stories and celebrating our neighborhoods. Our goal is to increase social connection between youth and elders, groups who face higher rates of loneliness, isolation, anxiety and depression.

GETTING THERE: Heights & Hills Park Slope Center for Successful Aging is located at 463A 7th Street, just off 7th Avenue, and near the F/G 7th Ave stop. Use the side entrance to All Saints’ Episcopal Church to enter.

Generous funding provided by Citizens Committee for NYC.
